Thomas Kilpatrick was born and raised on Cambridge Road in Augusta and graduated from Westside High School in 1988. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management & Insurance in 1993. Thomas married Patricia Ann Gaetano on April 24th, 1994, and worked for several Insurance Companies in Knoxville, TN, Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA. He and Trish moved back to the Augusta area in the spring of 2003. He completed his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in April of that same year.

In 2005, Thomas excitedly joined his father, Richard Cree Kilpatrick, at A G. Edwards & Sons as a Financial Consultant. In doing so, he became the third generation, Kilpatrick, to serve the people of Augusta. He obtained his Series 66*, Series 7*, and Accredited Asset Management Specialist designations in late 2005.

After much thought, Thomas and Cree decided to re-establish A J Kilpatrick & Company by affiliating with LPL Financial. They re-branded the company and opened their doors on Davis Road on December 17th, 2009. Thomas obtained his Series 24* license in January of 2010. Cree fully retired from the company in 2016 and passed away on October 31st, 2017 at the age of 80. Today, Thomas continues the tradition of serving the financial needs Augustan’s with honesty, integrity, and hometown personal service.

Currently, Thomas and Trish reside in Augusta, GA, and attend Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church. Their oldest child Andrew is a Freshman at the University of Georgia. Christopher is an 11th Grader, and Sarah is a 9th grader, both attending Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School in downtown Augusta.

Thomas has served as an executive in the following organizations: President and Past President of the Augusta Bulldog Club; President, Past President, and Secretary of The Exchange Club of Richmond County; Chairman and Board Member of the Endowment Committee at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church.

When he’s not in the office, Thomas enjoys travel with his family, golf, snow skiing, and any activity that involves water.
